Food Banks Canada (FBC) released their annual Hunger Count report on October 28, sharing that the month of March 2024 alone saw over 2 million visits to food banks in Canada – the highest number in recorded history.

We reversed the idea of the advent calendar! Instead of getting something each day, we’re calling on the community to give something by donating a food or essential item to KLFS each day of November!

The Excellence in Food Banking Award 2023 honours the most outstanding food bank in the Food Banks Canada network for going above and beyond the core mission of providing food to those needing help.

KLFS distribution centre was recently broken into, twice. We believe this shows the need and desperation felt by many in our community.
