Community Resources

The KLFS offers various Support Programs to increase access to food supports throughout Kawartha Lakes. You can also access our Community Resource Directory for additional support.

KLSF Support Programs

  • Lindsay Community Food Market

KLFS owns and operates our own food bank in downtown Lindsay called the Lindsay Community Food Market (LCFM).

    We’re located at:
    86 Russell Street West, Lindsay

LCFM offers both in-person shopping-style appointments and pick-up appointments.

  • Open Gardens

Throughout the summer and fall, our open gardens in Lindsay provide fresh, free produce for community members to pick what they need.

The goal of our gardens is to increase the availability of healthy food without restrictions around hours of operation.

  • Summer Lunch Program

The Summer lunch Program seeks to address the gap in available food during the summer months for the children who benefit from student nutrition programs during the school year.

Each summer, we partner with other local organizations to provide elementary-aged students in Kawartha Lakes free, healthy bagged lunches.

  • Program Recipes

Our programs aim to use healthy, cost efficient, and tasty recipes for community members to enjoy at home.
