No garden? No problem! The Good Food Box program aims to improve access to affordable, fresh and healthy food for citizens of the City of Kawartha Lakes. Each month, anyone can purchase a Good Food Box, which showcases seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables.
A large box (or bag) bursting with flavour and nutrition costs just $25 each and comes with healthy recipe ideas and community resources.
Pre-payment is required by the second Tuesday of the month.
Pick up is available in Lindsay on the third Tuesday of the monthat Community Care, 21 Angeline St N, Lindsay. If you’re purchasing a box as a gift, you can order more than one box, but please indicate in the notes if the box is being gifted and to whom, if needed.
Please note: Same day no shows get donated but if you cancel by the previous Friday your credit can be applied to the following month’s box.
