About Kawartha Lakes Food Source
Kawartha Lakes Food Source (KLFS) is the distribution centre that provides food to our member food banks, schools and social service agencies that support those who are food insecure. Additionally, KLFS develops and delivers our own programs that directly serve our community.

This agency focuses on food related supports that make a positive impact in the City of Kawartha Lakes.  We achieve this through education to the greater community via our communication channels, by activating volunteers that assist in program delivery, supporting members that serve the community directly with perishable and non-perishable food, and advocating for positive policy change related to food insecurity.

How To Apply
Share your qualifications with a cover letter and resume. As part of your application, please include a half page reflection about one of the profiles from the online tool called A Fork in The Road (www.feedontario.ca/fork-in-the-road) and the impacts that poverty and food insecurity have on our community. You will need to visit the link and complete the activity to “survive a month in someone else’s shoes”. We look forward to reading your work!

Submissions are due on or before 4:30 pm on Friday, January 17 to heather@kawarthalakesfoodsource.com or in person at 164 Needham Street, Lindsay.

Thank you to all who take the time to submit, however only those requested for an interview will be contacted.
