Dr. Seuss’ Cat in the Hat is in Lindsay on October 22, 2017

The Kawartha Lakes Food Source is excited to present a Two Beans production of Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat.

Everyone’s favorite cat comes to mischievous life in this theatrical adaptation of the Dr. Seuss classic. From the moment his tall, red-and-white-striped hat appears around the door, Sally and her brother know that The Cat in the Hat is the funniest, most mischievous cat they have ever met. With the trickiest of tricks and the craziest of ideas, he is certainly fun to play with.  And he turns a rainy afternoon into an amazing adventure. But what will Mum find when she comes home…?

Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat is a lively, engaging “play with sound effects” by Two Beans Productions.  It was originally adapted by The National Theatre.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children (tax and fees included) and all proceeds go to the Kawartha Lakes Food Source.  The show runs approximately 50 minutes in length. Tickets can be purchased at the Academy Theatre box Office or online at

The Kawartha Lakes Food Source is a not for profit organization that has been serving the community for over 15 years.  We are the warehouse that procures and stores food from reclamation and donations and supplies it on a fair share basis to the nine food banks within the City of Kawartha Lakes.

We also supports twenty schools with their breakfast/snack programs.  We rely solely on donations from the community and successful applications to foundations and grants – we do not receive support from any level of government.

Supporting KLFS is easy!  You can: make a financial donation (tax receipt issued over $20); volunteer your time; attend our fundraising events, or all of the above.
